Tall Women’s Guide to Black Friday: Sweet or Sensible

Sweet or Sensible?
It’s that time of year again - inboxes fill with flashing banners, countdown timers, and breathless promises of “up to 70% off.”
For many business, it’s a race to the bottom as they try to compete with the big guys, or try to shed over production issues taking up space and cashflow.
For us at Miss G & Me, it’s a reminder to pause - maybe grab some popcorn - and take a breath.
Tall Women Deserve Beautiful Clothes
Tall women deserve more than hyped up one size fits all promises. We deserve beautiful clothes - pieces that fit, flatter, and last. For us, quality and length aren’t optional extras; they’re part of what makes a garment feel right.
That same philosophy shapes how I run this business. I believe in purposeful creation, not panic production. I believe in buying less, choosing well, and letting clothing support confidence, not consumption.
I support conscious, intentional purchasing and have no desire to join the Black Friday frenzy. At Miss G & Me, we are creating clothes and a business with the long term future in mind.
Small Business, Big Heart
Here’s the truth: Miss G & Me is a small struggling to grow business (I know right, it all went into my arms and legs...), and in fashion - especially tall, slow, sustainably made fashion - there’s no extra cream to skim off for markdowns. Every dollar goes back into creating garments that fit like they were made for you. We don't order 1000 units with the intent to cheaply flood the market. And the label is far from financially viable.
Tall Women’s Guide to Black Friday
So instead of rushing into the Black Friday chaos, we’re doing something a little more us. This November, every order receives a gift - either a bag of Leatherwood honey caramel popcorn from Cob & Hive, full-sized fun made from scratch by Tasmanian duo Anita and her daughter, or a fabric key fob also handmade in Tasmania by Leonie, who creates our custom-sized Wash Bags.

Each fob is created from what little fabric remains of the Kim Wide Leg production, making them almost zero-waste. They’re designed to loop around your wrist like a bracelet, so you’ll never lose your keys again - and yes, your taller lass hands will fit very comfortably. The bag of popcorn was out of our control...🤣
Sweet or sensible, local, and made with intention - exactly the kind of energy we believe in sharing.
Rewards, Not Discounts
And, if you’re a MGM rewards member, your order in November automatically puts you in the draw to receive 2,000 rewards points, that's a $100 shopping voucher! - just quietly, four incredible members have already chosen not to redeem their points, preferring that I reinvest that value back into growing the label.
That kind of generosity keeps Miss G & Me moving forward and was directly contributed to the grading cost of the upcoming Kerri V Neck Bouse talk about sweet & sensible!
The rewards voucher will be drawn on Dec 3.
If you’re the sharing type, you can also earn points every time a friend joins us through your referral link. A little extra sweetness for helping another tall woman find her intentionally, and properly tall fit.

Slow Fashion, Fast Smiles
No panic buying. No flash discounts. Just intentional choices, thoughtful design, and the small joys - like a snackable surprise tucked into your parcel, or the quiet pride of supporting a brand that values people and the planet over the panic.
So while everyone else is racing, we’re slowing down, enjoying the popcorn, and remembering what truly matters: clothes that last, moments that feel good, and a community that's growing.
✨ Something tall, thoughtful, and just a little bit sweet or sensible is on the way.
