Tall Women's Clothing in Australia; Your Questions Answered

Updated: Jul 13

If you have found Miss G & Me, you have probably spent years making do. Too-short hems, waistbands that sit on your hips, sleeves that end at your forearms. We exist because that should not be the default for tall women in Australia.

This page covers the questions we are asked most often. If something is not here, email us directly at penni@missgandme.com.au and we will sort it out.

1. What is Miss G & Me?

Miss G & Me is Australia's only dedicated tall women's clothing label, designed for women 5'10" and above. Every garment is designed and fit-tested in Australia by tall women, with proportions that reflect how a tall body actually sits, not just a mainstream cut with extra length added.

2. Where are your clothes made?

Miss G & Me is Australian owned and designed. Our garments are crafted in Australia and overseas, and we are always transparent about where each piece is made - you will find that information on every product page.

Australian manufacturing is retained where the material, craft, or supply chain makes it the right choice. Overseas manufacturing is used where it delivers better construction and accessible pricing. That distinction is intentional, and we will always be transparent about it.

3. Tall women's clothing Australia - where can I buy it?

You can shop the full Miss G & Me collection online at missgandme.com.au. We also have a dedicated fitting space in Tasmania, open by appointment. After hours and weekends are perfectly fine to arrange. Email us at penni@missgandme.com.au to book a time.

4. What makes Miss G & Me's tall pants different?

Our pants are designed specifically for tall women, not adapted from a standard cut.

✔️ Inseams from 34 to 37 inches across the range ✔️ Designed and fit-tested in Australia by tall women of all sizes before release ✔️ Rise, pocket placement and proportions adjusted for tall frames ✔️ Made in Australia and overseas, using premium fabrics chosen for durability and drape

5. What is the inseam length of Miss G & Me's pants?

Our pants range from 34 to 37 inches inseam depending on the style. The Kim Wide Leg Pant features a 36-inch inseam with a generous 50cm wide leg hem, designed to skim the back of the shoe. The Alva Slim Leg sits shorter by design, landing at ankle length. All styles include additional hem length for women who need more.

6. What size should I order?

Each product page includes detailed size guides with waist, hip and inseam measurements. Our designs are cut for tall proportions so if you are between sizes or unsure, contact us before you order. We would rather help you get it right the first time.

7. Can I return or exchange my order?

Yes. We offer returns and exchanges within 7 days of receiving your order. If the fit is not right, we will help you find the right size.

8. Can I pay via offline bank transfer?

Yes. If you select Offline Payment at checkout, you will receive our bank details to complete your payment manually.

Here is how to pay:

  1. Log in to your internet banking

  2. Select the option to make a transfer or pay someone

  3. Enter the account details supplied at checkout

  4. In the reference field, enter your full name or order number so we can match your payment

  5. Submit your transfer

Once payment clears (usually within 1 to 2 business days), we will confirm your order and post. Need help? Email penni@missgandme.com.au and we will sort it out together.

9. Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship to New Zealand, the US, Canada, Germany, Sweden and Israel. If you are outside these countries, contact us to discuss your options.

International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes on arrival. These are your responsibility as the customer and vary by country.

A note for US customers. Due to recent changes in US import duties, charges are now collected before goods enter the United States and are handled through Zonos, an authorised US Customs and Border Protection provider. We take care of the paperwork. A flat fee applies: AU$35 for one item and AU$45 for two items, covering the estimated tariff on declared value and postage. Postage is calculated by weight so final costs may vary slightly. Any savings once shipping is confirmed will be passed back to you as store credit.

10. How does the "Buy 1, Try 2" option work?

If you are unsure about sizing, our Buy 1, Try 2 policy lets you order two sizes but pay for one. Try both at home and return the size that does not work within our standard 7-day return window. No hassle, no second-guessing.

We are unable to offer Buy 1, Try 2 for garments that are on sale or discounted.

11. Is Miss G & Me sustainable?

Sustainability shapes every decision we make.

♻️ We use deadstock fabrics to reduce textile waste 🧵 We produce in small batches to avoid overproduction 🧩 All packaging and postage is plastic-free 📍 We manufacture in Australia and overseas, and are transparent about both

🪄Our full approach to sustainability and manufacturing - including fabric certifications, our social audit program and how we choose our production partners - is documented on our Sustainability and Manufacturing page.

12. Why are some designs only available in small quantities?

Miss G & Me is a self-funded label. We release limited quantities in the first run of any new design so we can gauge demand before increasing production. In some cases we use deadstock fabric, meaning we have sourced the last of a designer fabric, making those pieces unique and one-time-only. Maria Athleisure is an example of this, a design that sold out in 7 weeks. Our Tasmanian-made knitwear has the highest manufacturing cost per unit, so we do not hold large stock levels.

13. Should I wait for a sale?

Our low-volume, considered clothing is in consistent demand and we rarely reduce it in price. Waiting risks missing the size or colour you want. Shop now and invest in pieces that actually fit.

14. Who is behind Miss G & Me?

Miss G & Me was founded by Penni Lamprey, a 6'1" Australian woman who spent years unable to find well-fitting, stylish clothing for her height. Frustrated by the gap in the market, she created Miss G & Me to give tall women the quality and fit they deserve.

As both the designer and the wearer, Penni ensures every piece is built for a tall frame from the ground up. She tests every design before it launches.

At Miss G & Me, it has never been just about length. It is about clothing that fits tall women beautifully.

15. How can I contact Miss G & Me?

16. Do you have a rewards program?

Yes. Every dollar you spend earns you one point. Reach 2,000 points and you receive a AU$100 store credit to use on orders over AU$120. You also receive 50 points just for signing up as a member.

It is our way of saying thank you to the women who keep coming back - and most of them do.
