Introducing the Project Emerald: A New Space for Tall Women

A New Space for Tall Women

Tall women know the struggle of shopping, retail or second-hand, it's the same story. Sleeves that fall short, pants that skim the ankle, endless scrolling for “maybe” pieces that almost fit but never quite do. It’s frustrating, and it’s exhausting.

That’s why I’m so proud to share that Miss G & Me has joined Project Emerald - a new resale marketplace designed to make fashion circular, affordable, and kinder to the planet.

And here’s the part that makes my tall heart sing: I collaborated with the app founder and her team to have a Tall filter built in just for us!

Finally, tall women can browse resale with confidence, knowing what they’re looking at was made for their height. No more guesswork, no more settling.

Why A New Space for Tall Women Matters

This isn’t just about clothes.

A new space for tall women matters so we know we are seen by the industry, where our proportions are considered, and where our wardrobes can live longer lives.

At Miss G & Me, everything we do ties back to our brand pillars:

  • Fit that Works – Proportions designed for tall women, not adjusted from someone else’s template.

  • Australian-Made Quality – Durable fabrics chosen for beauty and longevity.

  • Lived Experience – Designed by and for tall women, tested in real life.

  • Transformation – Moving from frustration to joy, from “nothing fits me” to “this was made for me.”

Tall Women's clothing now on Emerald App

Joining Project Emerald is a natural extension of these values. By supporting resale, we’re not just keeping textiles in circulation - we’re keeping tall women included in the conversation.

Each and every week, a customer will contact me, asking about reselling options - previously, I would direct them to our Tall Austalian Women community, but this space is more than clothing - Project Emerald is your dedicated space to access quality and unique items at lower prices.

How Emerald Works

On Emerald you’ll find:

Miss G & Me samples, seconds, and returns available exclusively on the app

✨ The option for YOU to list your own pre-loved Miss G & Me pieces, giving them a second life with another tall woman

✨ The ability to follow others in the tall women’s community, building connection through shared style

✨ A sustainable, affordable way to shop pieces that fit beautifully

This isn’t just resale - it’s a continuation of our tall women's movement. Together, we’re building a marketplace where tall women don’t have to compromise.

Obvs, you have some questions

Does Project Emerald take a commission?

Yes. Project Emerald earns a flat 15% commission from the total value of each sale.

What images should I use?

You can upload your images, or screen shots of currently listed Miss G & Me garments. Don't forget to capture any wear and tear.

Is Project Emerald available only in Australia?

Yes, Project Emerald is currently available only in Australia.

Will Miss G & Me benefit finacially from this partnership?

Yes. When you list your item as a Miss G & Me garment, a small 2% royalty fee is attached to each sale. I’m currently exploring ways to donate this royalty. In full honesty, as the resale volume is expected to be modest, and the time needed to set up, calculate, and distribute donations is likley to outweigh the funds raised. For now, my focus is on making resale accessible for tall women and supporting circular fashion, but I’ll continue to review options as the partnership grows.

My Two Accounts

To make it even more personal, I’ve created two accounts on Project Emerald:

  • Miss G & Me – where you’ll find samples, seconds, end-of-line stock, and slightly damaged or soiled returns. Leanne has already scopped up a perfectly brand new sample pant - Maria V2, the fabric didn't have as much stretch as Maria V1.

  • One Size Fits Tall – my personal account, where I list designs from Miss G & Me that no longer fit me, along with mainstream pieces I “made do” with in the past - I'm going to assumme your closet is full of those, too - and your invited to create your own buy and sell profile

Just recently, I sold a blazer from a mainstream label that had never fitted me in the sleeves. It went to a lovely lass of mainstream height who was stoked to finally find her size - and I had a little cash back in my pocket. That’s the beauty of resale: everyone wins.

And Extended Size Shoes?

And yes, the requests for extended size shoes has been heard too! You’ll even spot a few pairs of my son’s monster-sized shoes listed (if anyone’s brave enough to take them on) and some of my Wittner block heel - at 7.5cm and the stairs into the MGM studio, it's a little too much. Simply set the filter in the app, and it does all the searching for you, making it easy to discover tall-friendly fashion and footwear in one place.

Why Resale Fits Our Future

At Miss G & Me, we recognise the resources that go into making our clothes. Supporting resale means:

  • Reducing waste and keeping textiles in circulation

  • Lowering carbon emissions by extending garment life

  • Giving tall women access to affordable, size-appropriate pieces

  • Encouraging circular fashion where every piece is valued at its highest potential

It’s fashion that fits, and a future that lasts.
